Sniplet 69. Savvy and Taro and the Horrible Thing [Lukasverse] [AU Week]

Savvy and Taro and the Horrible Thing

by Sevvie and Jiro Ashbur-Nesline

Chapter One… who is she
In the city of Kirov there was a teenage girl named Savvy. Savvy was very special and had many powers and many people loved her but she had very few friends. She had long black hair, grey eyes that could shoot lazers, and she was almost six feet tall. Everyone thought that they knew everything about Savvy but most people did not know Savvy’s big secret. That was that Savvy was in fact… a secret princess! (or something)
Yes that’s right. Savvy’s grandfather was Seb, Prince of the Witches. He was very powerful and beautiful and was in love with Zalziburia the lord of horses who was actually only a horse 20% of the time. That made Savvy a…. something? It was very confusing to Savvy and Savvy didn’t really want to ask what she really was because at this point it would be awkward to ask.
Tragically that meant that Savvy’s uncle was the evil Kaizer Luke. He was very mean and lived in a palace made out of metal. He was so rude everyone cried every day. That was why Savvy could tell nobody that she was a secret princess or something because everyone hated her evil uncle Luke.
Savvy lived in a house with her father Alexander who was the best doctor in the world and her other father William who was a memelogist which meant he studied memes. Alexander was such a good doctor that people would get sick just to see him and have him make them well.
She also had her brother Taro who had many boyfriends and was very popular and spent all his time reading books. Taro was an okay brother. On a scale of one to ten Savvy would give him about a seven.
Chapter Two… Savvy goes to School
One morning Savvy woke up and she opened her eyes. The other day she had been sick and couldn’t go to school but today she was better because her father Alexander had given her pills and she was now better. But now she was going to be late for school! She took a shower, got dressed, got her bag, and left her house with her toast. She ate it on her way to school.
When she arrived at school, nobody there. Savvy wandered the empty halls with her toast and wondered where everyone was. It was 7:30! Everyone was supposed to be at school already!
Savvy went to the best school in the world, Tsar Star the Great Memorial High School and she was the best student there except for her brother Taro who was also very smart. Using her Lazer Vision Savvy opened a door. There was nobody in any classroom. Savvy sighed and tried to find anyone.
Suddenly she saw an old man with a mop. It was the old janitor Mr. Janitor, and he waved hello to Savvy. “Savvy! Savvy my dear child what are you doing here at school?!”
“I am here at school to learn Mr. Janitor so that one day I can become as smart as my parents.” replied Savvy. “Why are none of the other kids or teachers here at school?”
“Well Savvy they are all gone.” replied Mr. Janitor. “There is no school today because of the Horrible Thing. Didn’t you hear about the Horrible Thing at the end of school yesterday?”
“I didn’t go to school because I was sick.” replied Savvy. “What is the Horrible Thing?”
“I cannot tell you about it.” replied Mr. Janitor. “It’s too horrible.”
Savvy frowned. “Well I better go home. Thanks for telling me about it Mr. Janitor. I would have wandered around all day were it not for you.”
Savvy went home.
Chapter Three… Savvy goes Home
Savvy went home to go back to sleep. But the door was locked. Savvy shook on the door handle but the door did not open.
Suddenly Savvy saw the little face of her sheoat pet (half sheep, half goat) Pasta looking at her from the window. “Pasta! Pasta, open the door for me!”
Pasta continued to chew on the curtains as Savvy cheered him on. “Pasta! Pasta! Open the door! Pasta! Pasta! Come on, Pasta!”
Suddenly Pasta left and Savvy thought he was going to open the door but instead he went through the cat door and left the house. Savvy shook her head at the naughty Pasta before she had the idea. She knelt down to the cat door and attempted to get in through it. Tragically she was too big. Pasta begun to chew on Savvy’s clothes.
“Bad boy Pasta.” said Savvy, scolding the sheoat. Savvy didn’t know what to do. Then she decided to go to the hospital. There she would find her dad Alexander and he could give her a key. That was her decision. Savvy picked up Pasta and pointed towards the hospital. “To the hospital we shall go!”
Chapter Four… THE HORRIBLE THING
Savvy was on her way to the hospital when she remembered that she had lazer vision. “Maybe I’ll just lazer the door open… no. That’s a bad idea. Dad got mad the last time I did that. I won’t do that.”
When she was saying all that she made a wrong turn down a road and onto a bad street. She saw a long line of other teenagers walking down the street. They were going into a theatre. A strange man who was all white was ushering them in. Savvy decided to investigate. In front of a theatre was a sign that read “The HORRIBLE THING!”
Savvy looked to the man all in white. “What is this?”
“This is a movie theatre.” said the man. “This is my movie. I made it. “
“How much is it to see the movie?” asked Savvy.
“It is twopence.” [AUTHOR’S NOTE: PENNIES AND DOLLARS ARE PART OF THE CURRENCY I MADE UP FOR MY SAVVY SERIES. MORE INFORMATION ON HOW THEY WORK CAN BE SEEN IN: SAVVY’S BIG DAY AND SAVVY GOES TO THE BREACH]
Savvy gave the man fourpence. “It is only twopence.”
“Yes, but there are two of us.” said Savvy indicating Pasta.
The man shook his head. “Okay. Make sure your goat is quiet during the movie.”
Savvy shushed Pasta and sat down in the theatre. It was very small and there was no popcorn sold. In fact there was only the operator’s booth, the main theatre, and the bathroom.
Chapter Five…Savvy Watches THE HORRIBLE THING
Savvy sat down and put little Pasta on the seat next to her. He began to chew it. Savvy looked around at the other teenagers in the theatre. They all looked almost lifeless and as if they didn’t want to be here. Savvy pulled out some emergency meat from her bag and begun to eat it. It tasted gross.
Suddenly the movie begun. It seemed like a movie depicting the character “Louise the Horse.” It started like any Louise the Horse movie. Louise the Horse was gamboling across the fields, eating grass. Her friend, Petey the Sheep, appeared on the screen and Savvy cheered. Arnold Goatson was also there and Savvy cheered again. All the others were silent. Savvy continued cheering as the characters did various farm animal stuff.
Suddenly the character Phillip the Cow appeared on the screen…. but he had eyes that were knives. The kids screamed as the cow begun to stab his other animal friends. There was blood everywhere. The screen begun to zoom in on the dead animals…. they looked almost hyperrealistic. Savvy rolled her eyes. This movie was extremely boring. She attempted to get up but she suddenly realized her hands were bolted to her chair. This was ridiculous.
One eye using her lazer vision, the other still watching the film, Savvy kept on an eye on what happening while she attempted to free herself. Suddenly all the dead animals were alive and they all had knives for eyes. They were… big knives. They got in the Animal Car and drove to town where all the people lived. Suddenly they begun killing all the people in the town.
Savvy sighed. This was not a very good film and she had several strong opinions on it. Anyway, she was now free. She was going to give the white man a peice of her mind.
Chapter Six… Savvy vs The White Man
Savvy kicked down the door to the control booth after weakening it with her lazer vision. The white man was sitting there, laughing as the teenagers in the theatre begun to cry. The holocrystal that projected the movie was floating in the holoprojector. The white man was lying there laughing. Savvy pointed a finger at him.
“How dare you show this movie! It isn’t very good?”
“What?” screamed the White Man. “It’s very frightening!”
“No it isn’t!” replied Savvy. “You can’t just show something that has a lot of blood and gore and say that it’s scary just because it has those things. It’s just not a very good story. There’s no tension! There’s no explanation for anything! I wouldn’t even say this film has a plot!”
“But it has childhood characters! Now your childhood is ruined!”
“No it isn’t!” said Savvy. “Now go back to the drawing board and make a better movie!”
The man suddenly stood up and suddenly he was seven feet tall. “Well, this movie is actually a magical virus! When you look at it, soon everything you see will be like this movie! It will be covered in blood and gore and everyone will be trying to kill you! You see, I am no ordinary filmmaker… I am the Avatar of Dad!”
Savvy heard the crashing of thunder but it was just from the movie. “How can you be the avatar of Dad? Dad doesn’t even exist! That’s what he’s the god of, not even existing!”
“Yes that is true, but I have special powers. Just like you, Savvy!” Suddenly he tried to grab Savvy and Savvy replied with a kick to his body. She kicked him once and then twice and he tried to grab her while she was kicking him. Savvy laughed and fired her lazer eyes as she tried to get the crystal. She knew if she got it she would take it to her brother and maybe save these kids and herself. She suddenly reached forward and grabbed the crystal and ran out of the room. Little Pasta followed after her.
She ran all the way home but then she forgot she had a key. She banged on the door as if someone was going to answer it but then someone did!
It was her brother…. TARO!
[AUTHOR’S NOTE: This is based on a lot of things my BFF Morti complains to me about when we read scary stories together. I know I’m not the best at writing stories but I hate it when we find a story that looks good but it’s just a description of things covered in blood… anyway I wrote this chapter because I was thinking of her!
The next part of the story is written by my brother but don’t forget to review and favorite my story.]
Chapter 7- Introducing Taro, Savvy’s Brother.
Taro stretched in his bed, as the sun shone on his face. Outside birds were singing a song more beautiful than any symphony, unless it was a symphony that was made out of birds who were singing, or possibly birds that had tiny little bird sized instruments. Taro leisurly stretched out in his overlarge bed, feeling the soft sheets, the pillows, the blankets. What a beautiful day it was today, Taro thought to himself before going back to sleep.
Suddenly, Taro heard a dissordiant knocking at the door below. “Whoever could that be?” asked Taro to himself. “Why in the world is someone knocking upon my door?” Taro got up upon his feet and stretched. Then he walked to the door of his room and he slowly went down the stairs. Each of the steps on the stairs creaked a different sound. It was like the stair’s own personal song, the song that they sung when people went down them. Taro approached the front doof of his house and slowly oppened the door. Taro opened the door of the house, only to reveal… why, it was his sister Savvy and her little pet the goat, Ramen.
“Why my dearest Sisster!” explained Taro. “What a delightful surprise!” Wait…. but…. why wasn't Savvy in her room? Still aslseep?
What a baffling things! “Taro, it’s me.” said Savvy. “This crystal… is evil. It has an evil movie on it. don’t watch it.”
She gave Taro the crystal, which certainly didn’t look very evil, but Taro wasn’t going to question his sister, and so he put it down on a table as Savvy slumped onto a couch. As if it were the last bit of life in her tiefling body, she collapsed onto it. “Soon the evil crystal will get me… and I’ll see blood on everything…. it wil be very scary Taro.”
Taro nodded to his beloved sister. “That certainly founds very frightening sister dear.”
“You must find out hoiw to reverse the bad crystal Taro… I trust in you.”
Taro nodded. His isster had entrused him with a sacred and holy mission. Lofting the crystal in his plumpish palms, he hefted it to the sky. “Savvy, I promise. We shall learn how to reverse the vile crystal’s effects and free all the people who had been ensorcelled by it.
Chapter 8- Taro’s Majestic Powers Explained
Taro, much like his sister, had quite astonishing powers for such a young man. He had the power to hear the things that people were not telling him, in situations like the one we just saw, between Taro and his sister, Savvy. This is how he already knew about all the children, despite never being told about it, it was because of that power!
Taro got ready for his new adventure. He completely washed his body and cleaned his long, blonde, beautiful, hair. Then he got dressed in his favorite outfit, which was white. He packed a few books in his bag in case this was going to be a boring adventure, then he packed himself a lunch, in case he got hungry during this journey that he was about to have.
Taro quickly came to the subway. Sliding his portaterm as the indentification he needed to get into this underground maze of tunnel, tracks, cars, transportation, and benches. The tuennels smelled of that horrible tunnel smell that you always smell when you are in subway tunnels. Quickly Taro got into the very first, of the trains that arrived.
The train car was jam packed with people, and there was no place for poor Taro to sit. He would have wept were he not about to visit his very best friend and a boy who he had a very large crush on, the very handsome Tsarevich Theodore.
Theodore was sitting in the middle of his house, where he lived. Theodore’s mother was the very most important, beautiful, and powerful woman in all the entire country of Uldok, the Grand Vizier Anastasia. She was married to a man named Grigori who was the Tsar Star’s brother and also her very own great-uncle. Anyway, Theodore lived in the Palace allotted to the Grand Vizier and her family, even though he was himself a Tsarevich because the Tsaritsa, Catherine, was his very own aunt.
Theodore was simply sitting in the middle of his house but due to his feelings for Taro he could hear his very best friend and a boy he had a very large crush on approach. “My goodness!” said Taro. “I have said nothing, but you still turned around!”
“It’s because of the feelings I have for you.” said Theodore, gently kissing Taro’s hand. “Also I heard your footsteps.”
“Oh.” said Taro. “Theodore, I do not visit you in happy times. Instead, you must help me because your parents are so very smart and you are so very smart too. There is an evil holocrystal that contains a bad movie on it.”
Taro then begun to explain the story of the evil movie while Theodore simply sat there, listening to his beloved Taro, and looking into his beautiful stunning green and silver eyes.
Chapter 9- Taro and Theodore Team Up
“Taro, we will analyze this movie in the movie analyzer.” explained Theodore once the story was done and complete. “It is a new invention and my father just made it last night. It can tell us why every movie was made, by who, and why.”
“That sounds like a wonderful idea, Theodore.” said Taro. “But Won’t we have to then see that evil movie?”
“No.” said Theodore. “Not at all my dear beloved Jiro.”
They then walked to the room where the Movie Analyzer was kept, through the beautifuly carved and detailed wood walls of the beautiful mansion palace where Theodore and his family lived. Their footsteps were matching on the floor, like two songs that came together to make an even more beautiful song. It was almost even more beautiful than the bird symphony of birds.
Theodore inserted that evil crystal into the Movie Analyzer. “Well… let’s see here…. It says here this movie was made by the Avatar of Father…. to make all people see only terrible things instead of real life.”
“We already knew that!” replied Taro. “Were you not listening to me?”
“Oh.” said Theodore. “Weren’t you listening to me when I said this movie analyzer would tell you who a movie was made by and why?”
“Oh.” said Taro.
They looked at each other awkwardly for a moment before suddenly a vile mist emerged from the crystal! It suddenly entered every single other holocrystal in the movie room, turning each, and every, one of them into evil holocrystals just like them.
It was just that moment that Theodore’s father Grigori entered the room.
“Now, what’s going on here?” asked Grigori.

Chapter 10- Grigori is a Helpful Father
Theodore opened his mouth and a long and complex explanation comes out. He begun to explain to his father everything as Grigori politely sat there. His chair was very emerald green, and beautiful, and covered with pictures of machinery doing various machine things. It was actually in fact a portable chair, a chair you could throw on the ground and then turn into a full-sized chair. Grigori kept it wherever he went.
After a moment Grigori thought about the tale that Theodore had told him. Then he nodded his head. “Yes. I have the solution, boys. I will make a counter-machine that will turn this bad crystal into a good crystal. Then I will construct another machine that will project the good crystal out over the entire city and everyone will be saved.”
“That’s a great idea, dad.” said Theodore. “But what about the avatar of Father?”
{Author’s Note: I refuse to call him “Dad”, even though that is my name my sister devised for him in our canon. He’s probably going to turn out to be directly related to us for some ungodly reason or another and I’d rather not anger him.}
Grigori sat down to think. “You and Savvy will fight him after I create the anti-crystal machine.”
Grigori quickly got to work, assembling the machine from various buttons, gears, levers, and wires, as well as a cabinet. Finally, it was complete. Grigori inserted the bad crystal into the machine, and now it became a good crystal. It was beautiful and light, like a majestic prism that shot thousands of rainbows in each and every direction that there was.
He handed the crystal to Theodore. “Now take that and this micro holoprojector and the car, and drive to Savvy’s house and go inside and show her the video.”
Taro and Theodore got into the car. Taro thought it was very romantic that the prince was driving him home, even if it was just to save his sister from an evil crystal. “I don’t really know how to drive.” said Theodore. “But what’s the worst that can happen?”
Chapter 11- Savvy is Saved
Taro quickly entered the house, where Savvy was standing with a scythe. “Savvy, why do you have a scythe, dear sister?” asked Taro.
Savvy began to laugh the most evil laugh. “Because you’re going to kill me! You’re going to kill me!”
“No I’m not, Savvy.” said Taro, raising up his hands in the air. “I promise.”
“Yes you will, you promise?” said Savvy. “Then have at me!”
Suddenly Theodore begun a majestic transformation into his amazing form. In this form he was dressed in the most wonderful armor and had a beautiful glaive. A polearm to match Sevvie’s polearm. They begun to fight while Taro attempted to use the portable hologram projector to show Sevvie the good tape and free her from the wicked virus.
Taro finally inserted the prism-like crystal inside the projector and a film begun to play. As soon as Savvy saw it she quieted down and fell into a deep sleep. Taro got out his lunch and he and Theodore had lunch while Savvy took a nice, long, nap.
Finally, many hours later, Savvy finally woke from her slumber. She was completely cured. “I know what we need to do Taro.” She said. “We need to fight the Avatar of Dad.”
Chapter 12- Savvy and Taro Vs. The Avatar
Taro and Savvy got back into the car that Theodore was driving. Theodore had his glaive. Savvy had her scythe. Taro had his ability to shoot pain from his hands. They were going to fight the avatar of Dad.
Suddenly they arrived at the movie theatre. “Yup. That’s where it is.” said Savvy. They broke down the door and the man all in white was still there, sadisticially watching the kids who were not enjoying the very bad movie. “Okay….” said Savvy. “IT’s time…. to fight.”
“I have ebeen expecting you for quite the while, you bad children.” said The Avatar. “Are you ready to finally see things….. many way?”
“What?” asked Taro.
“I mean my way!” he said.
He summoned from his hands at least twenty seven knives and swords, all made from bone. They dodged the knives and the swords and soon the epic battle begun.
While Theodore and Savvy focused on the Avatar, Taro plugged in the good crystal. What he didn’t know was this holoprojector was now set to make the effect happen much more rapidly. What this meant was that the kids were suddenly knowing what was happening and being very angry at the Avatar. They all charged into the booth, demanding their money back, angry they had been shown such a terrible film, and with that distraction, Theodore and Savvy almost defeated him.
Suddenly he opened up a hole in space. “You may have defeated me now… but next time I wil destroy you meddling kids, and your little shoat too!”
Pasta let out a playful bleep as he vanished. The kids all cheered for their saviros, Savvy, Taro, and of course, the wonderful and handsome Theodore.
They were given a parade and the giant holoprojector worked during it. Every single child who had seen the Horrible Thing was turned back to normal. Each one was free. Savvy and Taro, the best sibling duo ever, were both given medals of bravery and honor.

Author's Note: This is a earnest story about these characters writing a story about their self-inserts. I have a ridiculous self-insert (his name is Tallon) and I wrote about him/her when I was younger (and now) and so do Sevvie and Jiro.
Jiro's bits are supposed to evoke my child writing style. Too many commas, a lot of description. I still use too many commas.
Fedor is named Theodore because that's the English equivalent. Helorie is named Grigori because Rasputin.
